Making it "stronger" loses this flexibility in quickly folding back and forward. "Doing it wrong" is simply just material stresses and strain as the nature of the form entails of quickly bending forward and backwards a physical contact and material contact period. I have traveled with a Power Cover in a messenger bag in the rain, kept the Pro 2 in the nylon main compartment. This may play back into environmental quality for others (humidity). But taking off the fabric when I did Power Cover surgery showed that the fabric adhesive is not completely uniformly applied in some regards. I however never had the backing bubble with my Power Covers. Bending a metal wire, just one strand, back and forth will ultimately sheer the wire as well in elongation strain. This leads to the leads in disconnects in keys not registering at times, which requires physically shifting the device so the contacts are well again. There are some Power Covers, at the fold, that has worn down to the metal (with the way I had the covers rub at times in stowing). Of course with the bending back and forth, it would wear, much like the creases and binding of a hard back paper book. While I like the Type/Power Covers, I am just as realistic on the outlook.
